Evernote Speech

One Tool That Takes the Place of Many Others. (Comments from a couple Evernote users)

E1---" When you have to create content for a living (here and my day job), you are constantly processing information. I am constantly looking for new approaches to capture the information and ideas during the day. The best tool that I have found so far is the note taking service Evernote."from Christopher, one of the many Evernote users.

R1---
" I've tried dozens of programs that do similar things. In the old days, they were called "personal information managers". Many of these tools are specialized, so to handle it all you might use a to-do list (or "Getting Things Done" organizer), Internet bookmark manager, screen-capture utility, document management system, and free-form database.Evernote does all that, and virtually anything else you throw at it ... yet, it doesn't cost you anything until you throw enough stuff into it to pass its generous monthly threshold. For what it is worth, I clipped over 200 items before passing the limit.Use Evernote to save your ideas, things you see, and things you like. Then find them all on any computer or device you use. For free. It's worth a try, you might like it." This is another comment from Evernote users- Dan

Some Evernote Facts

E2---Evernote is one of the most talked about online note taking applications. One special feature here is the drag-and-drop desktop version that allows you to see your notes and clips offline. You can use the Evernote mobile application for your Windows Mobile phone or iphone to capture pictures and record audio to send to your Evernote account. You can also email notes to Evernote using a secret email address

R2---Phil Libin is the CEO of Evernote. Evernote currently has six million users since its release in 2008. But the latest, more updated version has only been online since November.
It has many competitors: Simplenote, Microsoft One Note, Netvibes
The premium version costs 5$ a month or 45$ a year and it offers you 1000 megabytes of usage a month.

E3---The free version offers 60 megabytes a month. This may seem like a large difference but I use evernote for everything and I have the free version. This tasking system is useful for students because you can basically bookmark scholarship and school pages and have them all in one area, instead of having them clog up your favorites. You also create sub-sections and labels, which I love.
