A Whole New Mind- Chapter 1

1. What surpriced me?

I didn't think that the right brainers will rule the next era before, but when I think about it now, I think it actually makes sense. I understand now that the left brainers would soon be replaced by the computer, and only the right brain would not, because the computer will never come up wiht new ideas by itself. It is the humans who had invented the computer!!

2. What did you already know?

I knew the difference between the left brain and the right brain back when I was in Grade Ten's Personal Planning class. For example, I knew that the left brainer only sees a part of things and the right sees the big picture.

3. Any new words? Provide definition.

Saboteur- someone who deliberately damages ir destroys the property of an enemy or opponent.

Cascade-a series of things that come quickly one after another.

Grudge-to give someting without wanting to.

4. What changes will you make as a reault of reading this?

I understand that I 'm a more left brain directed person; therefore, I try to make my two brains more balance by practicing writing with my left hand. According to the book, your left side of the body is controlled by your right brain. But I really want to know more about how to balance them

5. What connections have you make to real life?

When I meet with my friends or when I'm talking to a person, I will try and guess which side of brain they are more directed to. Sometimes, I would share what I've learned in Mind the Gap class with them.

6. What questions has this left you with?

If you are a more left brain directed person, what can you do to develop you right brain?

I really want to know about this.

7. What is the word of the day?

Great! I love learning new things!!:)

8. Additional comments.

I love this class, we're always learning new things! It's awesome!
